Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is best-known for her role in The Shield. Since her first appearance, she has shown her versatility by performing on shows like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Her first recognition came from her performance as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her role as feminist activists Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actress. Hind has also been praised for the role she was playing in the role of Harriet Tubman within WGN America's drama series set in the past called Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the show will continue for an additional season. Hind is currently filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It will be released around the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj was an Army scientist before his death on 18 March 2017. Mother Vrinda works at home. Aditya is her brother, and is an engineer for merchant ships. Bachchan's elder brother and their mother co-produced Dil Ka Rishta. Bachchan went to Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai where her family had relocated. She completed her intermediate education at Jai Hind College for a one year, before transferring to D.G. Ruparel College Matunga was where she scored 90% in her H.S.C. exams. Her adolescence was spent studying the classical dance and music over the course of five years. Zoology was one of her subjects. Bachchan had been studying architecture, was crowned Miss World in the year 1994. The model was ushered into the high-end lane after being awarded the name. She was offered attractive jobs at PepsiCo Inc. as well as Vogue magazine. She also signed a contract as model for L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel. Her acting career got off to a good start with praised performances in Iruvar (1997) as well as Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Both of these films challenged the fundamental model that defined Bollywood movies at the time, which pushed Bachchan to prominence in her own New Bollywood. Bachchan made her a queen of Bollywood through her performance as Paro the betrayed lover in Devdas, (2002). Devdas was one of the most popular films in Bollywood. It was also the first film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. Chokher Bali (2003) was the next film she starred in that earned her the praise of her peers. It's a thriller inspired by Rabindranath tagore's novel. Bachchan was the very first Indian to be on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan made an appearance on screen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan has been able to add her beauty and star power to her first major English film. Prior to releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English, she went back to Bollywood to star in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash hit). Abhishek Bachchan was married in April 2007. He is both a Bollywood celebrity and regular co-star.
