Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordinand at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix finished high school and subsequently signed a pro-contract for Adidas. In 2004, she was enrolled at her first year at the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007 beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed in the top three of athletes at her particular events.
