Beyoncé Giselle Knowles
Beyonce Giselle Knowles was born on
September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas. Her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson is the
designer of their glittering costumes, and her dad Mathew Knowles, manages
Destiny's Child. Solange, her sister (4 years separated by four years) released
her first album. She dances with her big sister at DC-3 concerts. Beyonce is of
Louisiana Creole and African descent. Whitney Houston found her and her group.
Lovefool, by The Cardigans, is her favorite track. She loves a pair of silver-colored
work boots. She is the writer and producer of many of the group's songs that
have been hit singles, such as "Jumpin Jumpin",
"Bootylicious", "Nasty Girl", "Independent
Women", "Happy Face" and "Apple Pie a la mode". The
lead singer of the group's vocal group, Destiny's Children. Toured together
with Christina Aguilera as her opening show (2000). TLC was the opening
performance (1999). Master P was a cat. He attended the High School for the
Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas. Solange's big sibling and Nixon

Her mother, Tina, is of Louisiana Creole heritage - predominantly African and
French and has ancestors from Louisiana and prior to that, Canada. Beyonce is
also of 1/32 Irish heritage, and also has distant Breton, Spanish, Indonesian,
and Chinese heritage from her maternal side in addition. She has been reported
as saying that to get over her shyness she developed a stage persona named
"Sasha".
